Why should we worship God? Why should we participate in worship services with our church family? Why should we be in constant spiritual worship to God?

We should worship God because he is the eternal God who loves us, created us, saves us, judges us, and who has provided his Son, Jesus, to be our loving Lord and Savior. Through Jesus and his death and resurrection we are freed from our sins and guilt, given the Holy Spirit, receive all spiritual blessings, given eternal life and the assurance of life with him forever.

We should worship with our church family because we share God’s love together. We are God’s family to share and experience the blessings of fellowship with one another. The participatory assembly is “family reunion.” We hear God’s word explained and applied to our lives. We sing and build each up with the praises of the Lord. We pray together and our hearts are bound to each other. We help each other and share each other’s burdens, problems and prayer requests. We help each other and share our resources with each other. We are strengthened and encouraged in our faith and in our living for the Lord. We remember Jesus and commune with him and with one another in the Lord’s supper.

We should be in constant spiritual worship to God because Christ is our life. He is our reason for being. Living daily with him is the greatest joy and delight of our lives. He is with us forever. He never leaves us or forsakes us. We thank him and praise him because we realize that without him, we could do nothing. He hears our prayers and answers them. He loves us and cares for us all the time. He makes life worth living. We are excited and enthused with the assurance of being with him and like him forever in the world to come.
