What blessings come from being a part of God’s family? Do you have any personal examples?

Being “in Christ” and “in God’s household” are one and the same. All God’s children are members of God’s family. When we become children of God, God automatically adds us to his family, all those saved by Jesus. God has no children outside Christ or his family. Therefore, the answers to this question are the same as the answers to the question, “What blessings come from being in Christ?”

What are these blessings? Name and describe or explain them. Each person can give some personal examples.

Here, among many, are some of these blessings:

  • Fellowship with God
  • Continual cleansing of our sins
  • God hears and responds to our prayers
  • Encouragement, comfort, teaching, love, correction, and help by God’s people
  • The presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives
  • The joys of worship and praise of God
  • Opportunities to share with others the good news of Jesus
  • A life with purpose and meaning
  • Hope in death and the world to come
  • Guilt-free living
  • A sense of belonging to someone and something bigger than ourselves
  • An understanding of what God is doing in the world
