Walk with the Doc – Chapter 3
Plan your walk and walk your plan. Allocating the time seems to be a major roadblock for many. It is important to understand and embrace the many reasons why walking reaps so many rewards. Knowing what those rewards are and understanding the science behind them will be a constant reminder that time walking is time well spent. Walking is a simple, inexpensive, readily accessible way to improve health and fitness, and it is available at no cost. Those countries that have longer life expectancies enjoy walking as their primary form of exercise. Be deliberate in carrying out your goal oriented walking program. Mix it up. Walk different venues: trails, parks, greenways, etc. Keep it interesting. Spread the word……walk, walk, walk.
