Walk with the Doc – Chapter 13
“Worry not that people listen to you; worry most that they watch you.” – Heifetz. “Do as I say, not as I do” is perhaps the weakest of all admonitions. It is by our actions that we set the example. To understand the full benefits of walking and not walk would be folly. To know it and not share it would be selfish. Everyone can benefit from your example, but especially the young, who could potentially experience tremendous lifelong benefits as a result. As a walker, being an example is more than simply being seen; it also involves making an active effort to encourage others to get moving.
