Walk with the Doc – Chapter 12
Take steps to feel better about yourself. So often folks just “let themselves go.” Basically it is an issue of ill-placed priorities and poor stewardship. Maintaining a healthy, fit body and overall sense of well-being takes time and effort. Simply knowing that you’re doing the right thing builds self-esteem. “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is within you… and that you are not your own?” (1 Cor. 6:19-20). That scripture alone is reason enough to become a responsible steward. It is the Lord’s will. There is little doubt that by actively pursuing an active walking program you will in time notice considerable improvement in your health, fitness, appearance, and overall self-esteem.
