1. How would you define humanity’s role of stewardship given by God over His creation? Provide supporting Scriptures to establish your point. 2. What are practical ways we can impact our spheres of influence to “…see our good works and glorify your Father in heaven”? 3. How will your stewardship allow others to see Christ living in you?

1. I would define humanity’s role of stewardship as a responsibility to care for the earth. As the article stated we were made in God’s image. This means that we have a higher intelligence and more awareness, but we also have more accountability. We were given the gift to be able to choose to be closer to God but we also have the responsibility of making that choice and following His word and His instructions. Because we have more awareness than God’s other creations, it is also our responsibility to care for them. Genesis 1:26 says that God gave mankind dominion over the animals of earth. 1 Corinthians 4:2 states “Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.” God put his trust in us to watch over His creations and we must live up to and earn that trust. 2. We can influence others by showing them God’s grace with evidence of His works, Bible verses, or simply through acts of kindness. 3. Our stewardship will allow others to see Christ in us because we are protecting God’s creation and following His word. By doing His work, we show others that He is in our hearts.

Hey Em, I love how you mentioned that we are created in the image and likeness of God and how that means we are naturally more intelligent creatures as compared to the rest of His Creation. It shows how God specifically chose us out of all of His plans and decided we are meant to be leaders over nature. I also appreciate that at you added 1 Corinthians 4:2 and discussed the fact that we are trusted by God to follow His will and take the responsibility of being stewards. It adds a sort of influence on humans because not only is it our moral responsibility to care for Creation but God trusted us and thinks that we are worthy and capable to protect the world and all on it.

Emily i love how you defined it as a responsibility, because that is 100% correct that is a huge responsibility that god entrusted to us. Also the fact that you used 2 bible verses and very good ones as well. And absolutely we can show evidence to people who have never been exposed to the gospel. If we can show them that god was here, then many people would be on board to explore Christianity as a whole. And the best part of this paragraph is how you said he is in our hearts. God is following us they whole way because he entrusted us with the responsibility of worshiping him.

1. God gave humans the responsibility to be the caretakers of His Creation and we are meant to protect and look after it. Genesis 1:28-30 describes that God created nature for us and that He gave us “dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” It is our responsibility as His intelligent Creation to do His will and keep His Creation prospering. This is not only because God called us to do so, but also because we are the only species on Earth with the capability to preserve nature. 2. There are many ways that we can individually impact our world, including volunteering, cleaning up trash, and caring for people and animals in need. Stewardship can be displayed in simple actions such as cleaning up all your trash after lunch, or in larger ways like volunteering to feed the hungry and care for your brothers and sisters in Christ. 3. When we show love we are announcing that we have God in our hearts and displaying our faith. God calls us to be stewards so when we act in ways that represent that calling we are making it evident that we walk in God’s light.

Jo, by “preserving nature”, what do you mean? Should we not cut down trees to build houses or kill animals to eat? I really loved your answer to question 3 and I completely agree. When we show that God is in our heart, people can see it.

I believe that although it is necessary to use nature it must be within reason. Killing animals and cutting down trees, although a sacrifice, is sometimes necessary. However, when people begin to abuse this and excessively hurt nature or animals it is unacceptable and disrespectful to God’s Creation.

Hey Jo, we are the people to protect gods creations just like the article said. I cant disagree with you, because this is pretty much what i put in my response. Also the verse in Genesis is amazing, by saying he gave us dominion over the fish of the sea, and the birds of the heavens. This shows how much god has entrusted humans with protection of his creation. And my examples were a bit different in my response, but these are all great ways to help protect what god has created. From animals to the ecosystem. All of these things lead back to your first sentence, that he gave us the responsibility of looking after his creations.

I would define humanity’s role as an honor, because we are the only creatures of gods creation that have the ability to worship. Because he gave us the heightened intelligence to do so, but this also comes with more responsibility. .” 1 Peter 4:10, KJV: “As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” The first thing we as Christians can do, is to spread the gospel. But we have to be sure we don’t false teach others by using scripture out of context or just plain wrong scripture. Also praying constantly is a huge way to glorify yourself in heaven. Because before every meal, before a game, etc i always pray thanking god for what he’s created and keeping me safe. I hope that people are able to see that I view god creating me as a huge honor. Because it means that god has a plan for me in life.

Hey Caden, I love how you described ways to spread God’s light that are more personal, like instead of picking up trash you are giving examples that involve living your whole life through Christ. Also how you mentioned that it is an honor to be chosen by God to take care of His Creation instead of it being a responsibility or a task. I totally agree! I believe we are so blessed that God loves and trusts us enough to give us this job that we should take with gladness. I agree with everything you said, good job!

1 I think humans are supposed to take care of the earth I think that it is one of our main jobs as humans in Genesis 1:26 Than God said, “Let us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” In this verse God is basically telling us that the earth is our responsibility and we need to take care of it.2we can encourage others to care more about the earth and realize that we only have one so we need to treat it correctly. 3. If as Christians we show that we live differently with more hope more peace we can encourage other people to live like that and live for God.

Hey Vanessa, I love how you described how God wants us to take care of the earth and how you used Genesis 1:26 to show what God created us to do. Keep up the good work you are doing.

1 I think since God is our creator and put us on Earth with his other creations I think its our job to watch over the earth and his creations. God sent his only son to forgive us for our sins which is why I think we are supposed to spread the word of protecting earth. 2. We should tell others how important it is for us to take good care of the earth. 3. As Christians we should spread the word of God and set an example for the people who haven’t come to know Christ.
